Struggling with achieving your goals?
Focus on your activities to meet your goals!
The subject of our discussion today is not only for network marketers, but for people all over. The principle I am sharing with you here applies across the board, whether you’re in Network Marketing, or what ever it is that you do for a living.
How do you achieve your goals?
How do you make sure you achieve your goals? Because many people set goals but they don’t achieve them. We are moving towards the end of the year right now. The beginning of the year is coming. People are going to set their goals for the coming year. New years resolutions will be set. By the time we get to February most people have lost focus on what it is they said they were going to do that year. So, I’d like to help you to figure out a way that can help or that can enhance the rate at which you achieve your goals.
So, the first thing you have to do of course is to set the goal. Once you set the goal break it down to what is it that needs to be done. What do you need to do in order to achiever this goal? Talking to network marketers: For example, if your goal is to acquire six new customers during a calendar month or what ever period it is, don’t focus on the number six in terms of how many customers you want to achieve. Rather, look at your conversion statistics. For example: if you are out there in the field working you will know. If I show on average 10 people then 2 people will enroll as customers. So how then are you going to focus on your activities. What it means is that you are going to have to show 30 customers in order for you to enroll 6 customers by the end of the month. So, you are now going to focus on ‘How do I break down this 30?’ Right! There are 30 days in a month, am I going to show one person a day? Or you can also look at it from the perspective that there are 4 weeks in a month. In each week how many people am I supposed to show in order to get those averages working in my favour?
So, focus on the activities, and when you have set the numbers you are supposed to achieve for a day go for those numbers.
“Activity drives goals and results”
Because if you do not do what you are supposed to do to get the goal, definitely it’s not going to work out for you. So, consistency in terms of activity is what is going to get you the results. And what I love about it is that once you are out in the field and actually doing the work, when you are consistent and consistently being active in what you are supposed to do, which is sharing your concept or sharing the opportunity with the people that you are meeting, you are going to get better and better in terms of skills. How to present and how to close at the end of the presentation. Your skills develop by being in the field. So can you see that activity is actually what determines weather or not you are going to reach your goals? Focus on your activities. Establish what it is you need to do. Put the numbers down so that you can be able to track whether you are actually fulfilling what you are supposed to do.
You’ve got to understand that when you are sharing a concept with someone you have no control over the outcome. You have no control over what is going to happen in terms of their decision. But what is important is that you have shown it to them. I urge you to focus on your activities this week. Ther are two days, three days before the end of the week? So, if you intensify your activity and start the next week with clearly defined and precise activities that you are going to do, ou might have a week you have never had before in your business
