Published From a Desire Proclaimed a Decade Ago

Salvation_May-June_2016_ Issue_CoverYesterday I received news that I have waited for and anticipated for quite some time. A devotional article that I wrote some time back had been published in a Christian magazine titled Salvation.

I have published a thesis for my masters degree as well as academic papers. All fade in significance compared to the publication of this article. It is a culmination and a continuation of a work that has been nearly a decade in the making.

The Manifestation of a Decade Old Dream

In one of my journal entries in 2006, I wrote down that I wanted to one day be able to share the spiritual insights that God gave me during my devotions in a printed publication. From that day I started a compilation of those spiritual insights in my hard copy journals. I have kept the journals over the years. Later on the writings were done on my laptop. Today one of them is a published work. This goes to show the power of writing down one’s dreams.

Some of my literary works in 2010 were published in a blog that I started and abandoned. I was still figuring out what the thrust of my online presence was to be. It was in 2012 that I finally purchased a domain that would become this blog/website that I still have today.

Content emphasis has varied. I have been invited by several individuals to contribute to their blogs with a thrust towards purely business coaching. I did that for a while but fell of the bandwagon along the way. Somehow deep inside me, I knew that my calling was in the area of Christ centered writing. I shared my thoughts and insights on various subjects, business included. My objective has been to mold thinking that infuses Christ into all areas of life for my readers and subscribers on this blog.

How A Way To be Print Published was Opened

This caught the attention of a certain young man called Victor Nkomo who was following my Facebook posts. He also happened to be the founding publisher of the magazine Salvation. He asked me to contribute an article on the story of my life. The article that I had earmarked was part of a work that is in the pipeline for publication during the course of this year. My editor objected to me sharing that before being published.

We then agreed for me to contribute a regular devotional article in the magazine instead. Today I share with you the first of those devotional articles extracted from my prayer journals that I have been writing over the years. It is an honor and a privilege for me to be a part of this noble publication. I believe it is inspired by the Holy Spirit for the winning of souls into God’s Kingdom.

How It All Ties In

Being a home business owner, I use the internet to grow my business. I have always wanted to be a visible and audible advocate for a rounded approach to business. I do not want to teach business principles in isolation from my Christian beliefs. I want to infuse the two in a bid to showcase and inspire a rounded and spiritually focused business person. I envision a business owner who exercises Godly principles at home, at church and in the market place.

Once the printed version of this issue is out, I will let you all know. I will offer a limited number of  autographed printed copies to some of my subscribers here. Look out for that announcement over the next couple of days. In the meantime, you can access the online PDF version of the May/June 2016 issue of Salvation Magazine. You can then read my article from “The Heart Intelligence Corner” on Page 9.

A Win-Win Mindset, Desire and Determination Will Get You Success

A Win-Win Mindset, Desire and Determination Will Get You Success

determinedYou must have a dream. You must believe in your dream.  Then you must pursue it with conviction and relentless commitment. You are capable of achieving what your heart desires through faith and action.

To quote Les Brown: “Are you hungry enough to do something about it?’ How much do you want to be financially free and get back your time so that you can pursue the things that make you happy?

There are sets of activities & mindset shifts that you should do that apply specifically to your situation in order for you to realize your dreams. Do these activities in an uncompromisingly consistent manner, and success is certain. You and your attitude are keys to that success.

Time and Financial Freedom Come At A Price

You want time and financial freedom through network marketing. Your reading this is proof of that. Success statistics in network marketing might not be that encouraging; meaning that the road ahead will certainly be difficult and even painful. Yet getting to your destination is not impossible.

You can never get something different for yourself by doing what everybody else is doing. Be prepared to break out of that comfort zone and do what you have never done before. There is nothing for nothing in life. So pay the price now, and you will get your heart’s desire of being able to do what you want, with whom you want, when you want and finish when you are done.

Sound impossible; lose that limiting belief. Sound selfish; then you are afraid of freedom and you do not believe you deserve it. So you will do all you can to sabotage yourself mentally. Until you believe it’s possible and until you believe that you deserve it, you will not be fully committed to the success levels that are possible in this industry and your actions will show. Conviction leads to fitting action and conviction comes from belief.

Success Takes Time and a Conscious Decision

Do not expect a giant leap but faithfully take it one task at a time, one day at a time. Many a dream have been killed either at infancy because the dreamer allowed fear and negative thoughts to  overcome them or just before fruition because the dreamer gave up too soon.

Decide to win. Do not allow anything or anyone to distract you or discourage you. Your desire and belief should spur you on to keep at it even when results are not yet visible and the rest of the world is wondering as to your mental stability.

Their wonder will ultimately turn into awe when the fruits of your labor finally manifest in reality. There is nothing like overnight success. All success is a culmination of committed, diligent action in the direction of the intended goal. Many a times the masses do not even notice the effort being made only to wake up one day to see a successful person.

Commit to Learn, Apply and Teach

As a network marketer there are skills and techniques that you will need to learn and implement in order to move your business forward. Make the commitment to learn the skills and take the time to put into practice what you learn. Learn with the aim to teach what you are learning to your team and get them to duplicate what you are doing.

Do your part and the God of the Universe will do His part of rewarding desire that is coupled with honest labor and faith.

Expect success….Get success. Some call it luck…..I call it faith or success by design.
