God Still Speaks To Us Directly

God speaks to us directly if we care to listen!!

WhisperIt has been a while since I posted in this category of mind body and spirit on the blog. That fact is actually a reflection of the imbalanced state that I discovered I had fallen into. Thank God for awakening me to my state and showing me what to change in my life.

He Spoke To Abraham

One of the challenges that you may be facing in your relationship with God is the answer to the question: “Does God still speak to us directly?” The Bible is full of instances where God ‘told’ His servants what to do. Just looking at the life of Abraham we realize that it was made up of a series of incidents where God spoke to Abraham and Abraham knew that it was God speaking. Just to mention a few:

• Abraham (when he was still called Abram) was told to go to another land
• He made a promise (repeated several times) to Abraham that he was going to have billions of descendants
• Abraham was told by God to go and sacrifice his son Isaac
• He shared with Abraham what he was going to do to Sodom and Gomorrah
• Etc.
So without a doubt the majority of the actions and decisions that Abraham took were guided by the words that came from the mouth of God. So the question still begs, is it still happening today that God speaks to us and we can hear Him?

He Has Been Speaking To Me

Recently, with the year rolling to an end and a new year looming ahead, I went through a reflective experience. I had achieved some of the goals that I had set for myself for 2015. I was beginning the process of planning for 2016. I had more questions than answers as to the place where my life was. So many things were not adding up and I was wrestling with how to plan for the future if I did not even understand how and why I was in the state that I was in.

At first I called on my logic for answers. Think as I would I could not put together why the right actions I took did not manifest the natural results that would have led to my achieving the majority of the goals that I could not meet. After much musings and a couple of nightmares about where my life was headed I realized that as a Christian and child of God, up to that point I had not included God in the process. God was at the back of my mind and I was expecting Him to somehow be a part of the process. Actually I am not even sure if that expectation was there at all.

I only mentioned His name when I was asking why I failed and the tone of my thoughts was more accusatory than acknowledging. When that realization struck me, I was awakened. It was then that the whole ball game changed. God became real to me and we have been walking and talking together for these last couple of weeks and it is an experience that I would like to continue for the rest of my life.

I wish it on you too. That is why in my next post I am going to walk you through how I personally came to the place where I am at. I have faith that someone out there is in need of that awakening. So as you plan for the coming year, while you go through the “what to dos” and the “how tos”, make God part of you planning process and by Him defining your whys, he will refine the mechanics of it all.

Blessed planning for 2016 (or whatever year you will be planning for the day that you read this article).

What God Has To Say About Your Success In 2015

Does God Care 12015 is promising to be a fabulous year for you and me because we have taken the time to set out a road map that we are going to follow to achieve our goals and make a success of our plans.

If you have not crafted your road map for 2015, then visit this article and take the time to set out your personal life strategic plan.

But whether or not you already have a plan in place, did you know that God wants you to succeed. He has a plan for your success as stated in Jeremiah 29 v 11. In fact He has a lot to say about your success.

God wants you to succeed and He has some specific instructions for you on HOW you can attain success. I am going to share with you just four of the points that He tells you to take note of as part of your success plan.

  1. Commit All Your Works to God

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established” Proverbs 16:3 (KJV). Whatever plans you have for 2015, God is interested in them. Do you want to start a business, create more income, be spiritually stronger, lose weight, spend more time with your family, restore broken relationships, God says tell Me all about it and seek My counsel on a daily basis and all of your plans shall be established. So beyond making the plans and writing them down, pray about them. Study the Bible daily for guidance and you will have extra ordinary success in 2015.

  1. Seek Wise Human Counsel

Do not attempt to go it alone. Proverbs 15:22 (KJV) says “Without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in the multitude of counsellors, they are established.” Find people who have attained the goals that you are aspiring for, build relationships with them and sound your ideas off them. If you are having trouble finding such wise God-fearing people, ask God to bring them into your life. Ask and it shall be given unto you (Matthew 7:7).

How do you know they are wise? They are honest and uphold the same values as yourself. They are not afraid to be upfront with you. They are willing to help and are not jealous of your success.

  1. Work Diligently

Diligent work is meticulously, conscientiously, industriously and thoroughly done, producing a high quality product. Proverbs 21:5 “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness, but of every one that is hasty only to want”. Work that is done hastily is done without due care and the quality is substandard. Work that is done diligently will attract more customers and more profit. At the market place, be known for your diligence and your plans will fall into place.

  1. Take a Weekly Break

God designed our bodies to benefit from both labour and rest. That is why at the beginning of life on earth He established a seven-day weekly work cycle. Respecting that weekly cycle will not only benefit you physically but it will regenerate you spiritually and emotionally and will do wonders for your family relationships. Exodus 20:8-11 expounds on both the physical and spiritual significance of observing that weekly rest. Note that rest comes after work, so use the six days of the week efficiently and effectively and by the time you get to the seventh day, you will be needing the rest.

So confidently step out into 2015 knowing that you have a Supreme Being on your side to make sure that your plans for the year will succeed.

Blessings, Gratitude, Appreciating God, Family, Friends on 2015 Day 1

Gratitude Fruit Basket2I cannot list all the blessings I received in 2014, they are too numerous to count.

As I write this post, I am watching the daylight of Day 1 in 2015 melt out the darkness from the last night of 2014 through my window. My youngest son, who still sleeps with mom at 7, is lying on the sofa next to me because he does not like sleeping alone. He was sleeping alone because I had to sit up all night for two reasons:

Prayer, Curfew and Planning

(i) To wait up for two of his older brothers (17 and 19) who had gone for a New Years’ eve party (mom must intermittently send prayers of protection to heaven, make sure they keep to curfew time and come home sober) and

(ii) To put the final touches on my 2015 Success Blue Print (Thought I’d be done by the time the boys got home at 1:00am. Well….I continued for another four hours!!) That’s how important it was to finish that document. I believe I am getting better at this with each year that I do it.

Appreciation and Gratitude

The purpose of today’s post is to appreciate and express my gratitude to God for creating opportunities for me to meet with certain individuals who have unselfishly shared their knowledge and expertise with me directly and indirectly in the profession of network marketing and using the internet for business.

In my quest for knowledge and understanding, God placed these individuals in my path. Some I have met in person and have had the privilege to sit at their feet and hear their voices. Others I have not met personally but their written word and spoken words via their blog posts, audios and videos have become a familiar part of my life.

Some I listen to daily, others weekly or monthly and others occasionally. More than just being routine, the most exciting part for me has been applying what I learn and sharing the information with my business team as well as with those on my mailing lists and social media networks. I pray that my attempts to package the information based on my experiences has been and will be of use to the readers and followers of this blog.

Success Does Leave Clues

I cannot mention everyone here, but I would like to make particular mention of Ray Higdon and his wife Jessica, Matt Morris, Johnny Wimbrey, Eric Worre, Mary Ellen Tribby and Dani Johnson. I have listened to and read their online training for the last three or so years. They have so become a part of my life that my seven year old knows them by name and can identify their faces.

I have personally met Matt Morris and Johnny Wimbrey at live training events and I look forward to meeting two of those I have no yet met this year, with diligent planning, hard work and God’s blessings.

I appreciate these individuals whose teaching I have been following, and will continue to follow for me to grow into the business person that I am today and will become.

I raise my glass to them for their generosity and unselfishness to spend themselves for others. As the saying goes “success leaves clues” and blessed is the man or woman who recognizes the people who have or are what they aspire to be and is humble enough to learn from them.

Amazing Team Work!

I also toast the local leaders in my network marketing company who are based in Harare and Johannesburg. I thank them for leading by example. Actions do speak louder than words.

I raise my glass to the team that God blessed me with in my network marketing business. It is part of the beauty of our industry that by introducing a few of my friends to an amazing concept, I now have a family of several hundred, spread out in nine different countries. I look forward to the day I am going to meet each of you face to face.

Finally I appreciate my family: my four sons Jabulani, Bongani, Anele and Sibusiso (my once Little Blessings), my mom (a pillar of strength) and my brother Dingi and his wife Viola (my American ATMs when the need arose) and God Almighty (without whom I would not exist).

True Blessings Defined

For everyone, I pray for blessings in 2015. Blessings are not synonymous with a smooth, problem free life.

Blessings are going through life knowing that through the challenges, there is an all-knowing, all-powerful God who cares and  who will iron out what is beyond my strength and understanding.

Blessings are also knowing that through the challenges you have a cloud of friends and family who will surround you and support you and do all that they can to prop you up physically and in spirit.

Blessings are having the inner strength to keep going towards the mark that you desire for yourself and your loved ones without being intimidated by your circumstances or the opinions of others.

To you reading this article, may blessings pursue you and overtake you into 2015 (Deuteronomy 28: 1-14)

Tomorrow I will share with you the formula that I use to set my success blue print of the year ahead. Use it to plan for 2015. There is still time to plan and pray over your road map for this new year.

If you know anyone who will benefit from this post, share it with them and on your facebook and other social networking profiles.

You Are Like A Pencil In The Hand of a Writer or Artist

You Are Like A Pencil In The Hand of a Writer or Artist

wall scribblesJust when we thought we were done raising a young child from scratch, God pulled a fast one on us and gave us a late addition who has a ten year gap with his immediate brother. I must say going through the childhood years again has been very interesting now that we are older.

We are currently going through the learning to write era with our Junior and things are no different from what his older brothers did. A writing tool in his hand for some reasons that make sense only to a 5-6year old mean that he should test his writing skills on the wall.

Needless to say, the marks that he leaves on the walls have kept us both engaged as I teach him the right places where to write. We too as people are like pencils. Our choices, decisions and actions leave a mark on others that we meet. The marks can be good or bad. I will look in detail at how this is so basing my discussion on Biblical principles.

Everything That you do Will Leave a Mark

leave a markNever be under the illusion that because you are doing what you want, it only affects you. Every decision and every action you take affects someone whose life is in contact with yours. Some decisions and actions you make will leave a positive mark and others will leave a negative mark. Always think about the kind of impact your decisions will have on you, your family and the community at large. It is God’s will for us that we be a positive influence on the people around us. Mathew 5:13,14 says “You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its flavour, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled on by people. You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden.” (NLT)

What Has Been Written With A Pencil Can Be Erased

eraser & pencilIt is possible that as you write with a pencil a mistake is made. There is an eraser that is very effective in rubbing out the mistakes, allowing replacement with the correct writing. Have the courage to erase the mistakes that you make in life. Facing yours and correcting them is the best way to of erasing your mistakes. The fact that you make mistakes shows that you are doing something. An idle pencil cannot make any mistakes. Never let your mistakes mean that you should stop working. Learn from your mistakes and keep improving your skill set so that you get better at doing what you do. Proverbs 19:8 says “Do yourself a favour and learn all you can; then remember what you learn and you will prosper.” (NLT)

A Pencil Must Be Sharpened to Work Well

pencil manThe part that does the writing is the lead on the inside of the pencil. What you do on the outside is a reflection of the inner you. What is inside you? Do you know or understand what you are on the inside? Do you comprehend yourself. You see, what or how you are on the inside has a huge effect on how you interact with others. How you interact with others affects the quality of your relationships and can even have an impact on your success or failure in business.

For a pencil to be effective, the lead must be exposed through sharpening. If a pencil had feelings I doubt it would enjoy the sharpening process. How do you become effective? By allowing the Word of God to sharpen you. Godly principles are not comfortable by the world’s standards. You become effective by forging ahead through the trials and challenges of life, doing the right actions, when doing wrong is so much easier and more comfortable. Examine yourself by God’s standards and know who you really are. Make the necessary changes to improve yourself. Proverbs 13: 10 “Pride leads to conflict; those who take advice are wise.” (NLT)

Only A pencil In The Hands of a User Can Leave a Mark

pencil in handA pencil will leave a mark only when it is n the hands of a handler. Whom are you allowing to handle you. There are only two camps in life, the good and the evil. God is the champion of good. To leave a good mark in the world, that will have positive eternal impacts for you and the lives you touch, allow God to be the One who handles you.

A pencil in the wrong hands will cause harm. Just like the pencil in my six year old son’s hands writes at the wrong places and causes discomfort for both of us as I teach him not to repeat the same mistake in the future, if you are in the wrong hands, you will cause harm and pain to you and the people around you.

Search the Scriptures to know what is right and let the Spirit of God lead you and direct you for a positive impact on the world.

You are like a pencil. Leave your mark. Enjoy the process of making your mark. Allow yourself to grow and be willing to come out of your comfort zone so that God can increase your territory of influence in business and in social circles.

globePray the prayer of Jabez with me and let God increase your territory of influence. 1 Chronicles 4:9,10 “There was a man named Jabez who was more honourable than any of his brothers. His mother named him Jabez because his birth had been so painful. He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request.” (NKJV)

Anchor in God to Attain Financial Success in Life’s Business Venture

Life is a business venture and the model that you use in making decisions for the business venture is important. I want to keep things in their correct perspective as I add content onto this blog. My aim is to share with you life’s lessons, hints and tips on how to attain financial success and have the kind of lifestyle that  you dream of. In all of the actions I tell you to take to achieve that, it would be amiss if I did not constantly remind you to anchor all your heart’s desires on Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly much more than we can ask or imagine. Anchor all your heart’s desires upon GOD and His principles.

I will illustrate what I mean shortly.

eagle

One of the most fascinating creatures that God created is the eagle. It is the majestic king/queen of the skies. On a good cloudless day in areas where eagles are found, you will see them as tiny specks in the blue sky, sometimes still in one position and sometimes gliding to and fro, assumedly enjoying going with the air currents at those heights.

I have heard a lot of preachers and motivational coaches talk about the eagle and the lessons we can learn from its natural habits that can help us have success in life. One such lesson is the manner in which a mother eagle teaches her young how to fly. We are told, when the time comes for the chick to get into flying school, the mother takes the chick out of the nest, puts it on its back and flies high up into the skies. She then shakes the chick off her back at that height and lets it fall.

Eagle on CliffSo the little chick, which has never flown before, has no idea what to do. It will just plummet headlong into the ground without opening or flapping its wings. Meantime, the mother who is already in the sky will be watching the little one go down. Just in time, she will swoop down and position herself under the chick and carry it back into the sky before it hits the ground and perishes. This process will be repeated several times over a period of time until the chick learns how to use its wings and one day flies away never to come back into the nest again.

This is how God deals with each of us when He wants us to move on to the next level in any area of our lives. He takes us out of the nest, flies with us to the height that he wants us to be accustomed to, lets us go while he watches us plummet down to the ground at crushing speed and comes to take us back into the sky so long as we have not yet learned the skill of how to fly. So long as we keep our wings closed, we cannot get the benefit of the wind that will make us fly and enjoy the new life that only a flying eagle can experience.

There are many reasons why many whom God throws off the cliff in order to teach them how to fly never get to fly or take too long to learn how to fly. However, it is not the object of this post to discuss those limiting beliefs.

My object here is to prompt you to examine why you have found yourself off the cliff. There are majestic eagles within all of us waiting to be awakened. And each one of us has a longing to achieve great things. To do that, you could be actively deciding and doing activities that are supposed to get you there but somehow, you are still not there, after many attempts. There is just one problem that could be preventing you from awakening the majestic eagle within you.

Ask yourself this question, did you jump out of the nest and off the cliff, or were you taken out of the nest and off the cliff by your Father because the timing was right. Remember that the eagle’s chick does not jump out of the nest. It is taken out by the mother who when she sees certain behavior in the chick and observes that it has grown enough wings to be able to fly, knows that the time for flying school has come. Through the things that the chick does, it communicates to the mother that the time is right for it to fly.

Many people have brought a lot of misery upon themselves and their families by jumping off the cliff without God’s prompting. Constant and continual prayer connects us with God to a point where our mind is so in synch with His that we know when we are ready to be taken to the next level in life’s walk. Unless one is in synch with the mind of the Holy Spirit, they may make decisions in life that will cause them harm instead of good, all the time thinking that they are being brave and bold to move to the next level.

To God the motive for wanting to succeed is more important than getting there. Unless one is Spiritually mature enough to receive what they are aspiring, for God will not allow them to get there no matter how much they fret, kick, scream and devise. Taking forty years to complete a journey that could have taken two weeks by the Children of Israel is proof of that.

Man on Cliff Edge

As long as you are a disciple of Christ and you want to do things God’s way, never jump out of the nest, wait upon the Lord and stay connected to Him in prayer. When the time is right, He will give you the Divine inspiration to take the necessary steps that will get you to the next level. He will keep a close watch on you during those flying lessons and ensure that you never ever crash to the ground and perish. Under His guidance, you will spread those majestic wings and take off to the sky with fellow eagles!

Never jump off a cliff, allow God to push you off. Isaiah 40 v 31
