Vision Cast And Win Big In Your Home Business

On TargetAs a network marketer, are you looking for the magic formula that will give you that breakthrough to start achieving the results that you have always wanted? Every year you set goals to achieve in your business but you never achieve them!

Pay attention to what I have to say. GOALS are not enough! Yes, you heard me right. Instead of goals, have a visual of who you want to become! I know that in our business for us to rank and be recognized, we must reach a certain level of income. I bet your goals have been based on the levels of income you want to achieve or the rank that you want to attain. Do not focus on the money or the rank. Focus on the person that you want to become. How do you want your team to know you? How do you want your family to know you? Focus on becoming that person and the results will follow.

Vision Road Sign with dramatic blue sky and clouds.Start by visualizing yourself being at that place where you are a leader that your team looks up to and asks for advice on how to be like you. See yourself as that parent who is able to provide for your children the important things in life. Let that vision pull you to take the actions that will get you there.

Your vision will inspire you to not make any excuses. It will eliminate fear and cause you to grow beyond what your current circumstances say you are. You will be able to overcome all the excuses that you have been allowing yourself to buy about why you are not getting the results you want.

Cast a vision of who you want to be. Tat vision will pull you out of bed when you do not feel like getting up. It will have you talking to more prospects about your product and opportunity with more purpose. Ultimately you will become the person who merits the income that you are aiming for.

Motivation Can Be Created For Yourself and Others

Are you lacking motivation, feeling discouraged and despondent as to whether you will or can ever be successful in life and in your business?motivation

You need to stay motivated.

Motivation is the fuel that you need to stay on course and do what you need to do to achieve your goals; and you need it daily.

Here are a few quotes to motivate you:

“Of course motivation is not permanent. But then, neither is bathing; but it is something you should do on a regular basis.” – Zig Ziggler

“The individual who says it is not possible should move out of the way of those doing it.”
― Tricia Cunningham

“You can’t build a reputation on what you are going to do.” – Henry Ford

So how do you stay motivated? You must decide to stay motivated. It is a choice you make that no one else can do. Actually the best motivation is self motivation because when it comes from within, no one can take it away.

I am going to share with you a few help points on how you can keep yourself motivated. In the process you will find that you are motivating others too.

Take Action Consistently
Starting to do something new is always nerve wrecking. The only way to deal with the nerves is to feel afraid and do it anyway, not once, not twice but until you know how to do it well. Set the tempo for action and keep at it. The more you do an activity, the better you become. So keep on doing. You levels of confidence will rise to motivate you.

VisionHave A Vision and Set Goals To Achieve It
My favourite book says “My people perish for lack of vision”. Where there is no vision, there is no reason to live. Do you know what you want. Who do you want to be. How do you want to be known. What do you want to have. Create a vision board that you look at every day that reminds you what you want to become.

In case the vision intimidates you because it is too big, break t down into bite size goals and steps that you must take every day. Give yourself a reason to wake up everyday.

Do results Driven Activities
Do not do what I call treadmill activities. You can be busy all the time but achieving nothing. Your vision and your goals will define what your results ought to be and if what you are doing is not getting you where you want to go you will exhaust yourself and kill the motivation. Focus on results driven activities.

Create a Motivation Circle
Build relationships with other like-minded individuals so that you can do things together and keep each other motivated. Meet often or talk on the phone often. Have them to rekindle your fire when you are down or to kick your butt when you are slacking. Keep each other accountable and do not buy each other’s excuses. Your motivation circle will be even more fun and exciting if it is made up of people on your team. Get together and do business growth activities together. Celebrate each others’ victories and successes.

Help Others To Succeed
People who help others to achieve their goals often find the motivation to attain their own goals too. Have an open door policy of letting people seek you out if in need of help. as you show them what to do to achieve success you become a servant leader because the best way to show people what to do is doing it yourself. There is nothing like people looking up to you to get you to stand up and work.

Constantly Reprogram Yourselfprogramming
Have you ever noticed how a computer gets to ‘hang’. I am not sure what happens in the hardware but you will be in the middle of a task and the processing thingy on your screen keeps spinning and spinning until you have to end task and refresh. Our minds and bodies can get into that tail spin too and you will need occasional refreshing. How do you reprogram? Go away somewhere alone or with your mastermind group and chill. Take time to reflect, reorganize and regroup. Remember to have fun while you are at it and break the serious and monotonous business mode.

Vision Creation For Home Business Growth

Creating a Vision For You To Succeed

VisionOne of the biggest challenges in building a home business is creating that consistency in doing the daily activities that are meant to get you the success that you desire to have.

There are those business building activities that if not done daily, success is impossible. In network marketing those activities are prospecting (meeting new people and connecting with them), inviting, presenting and enrolling new people into the business.

Any honest networker will tell you that doing these activities is very uncomfortable and the temptation is to not do them or to keep putting them off until tomorrow, right?

So how then does a home business owner ensure that they get the success that they want. The answer lies in creating a VISION for yourself. there is power in creating a vision of where you are going.

Lessons From My Favourite Teacher

My favourite Teacher, knowing that the motivation for His followers to do what He asked them to do after He was gone would be essential, painted word pictures of the life that was to come for them if they stuck it out. As His followers what keeps us going in a tough world full of injustice, sickness and war is the fact that a New World without these things is coming for the faithful and we keep that picture in mind when facing challenges to our faith. In the last book of the Bible He even gave a vision to John to share of how the capital city of the New World would look like.

The same principle applies to growing your home business. Your current circumstances cannot serve as a basis for motivating you into consistent action. In fact your current circumstances might discourage you. It is your vision of what you are working towards that will keep you going consistently, even on those tough days when things do not seem to be gelling together the way that you want them to.

The Power is in the Mind

One of the strongest traits to build as a home business owner is to develop your power of visualization. Visualize in your mind and see yourself become the person that you want to be when your business is successful. Many a times the struggle with consistent action stems from dwelling your thoughts on where you are instead of where you are going. Obviously you made a decision to do what you are doing in order to move from where you are to a different kind of lifestyle that you aspire for. Let the vision of that lifestyle stay ever before you and it will get you off your butt when you feel like giving up or not doing what you committed to do daily to get you there.

Demonstrating The power of Vision

Your vision obviously translates to the reason WHY you are doing what you are doing. Here I give a few examples of the kind of vision statements that many people that I have spoken to have shared with me.

  • Working moms who want to be at home for their children and still have a steady source of income to support their families. Obviously if you are in this category, your current schedule to fit in a job, family and your business can look like a nightmare. But the alternative is leaving your children at home with a child minder or at day care every day and missing them growing up. If you do not do what is required of you now to create that desired future of being there for your children, it will never happen. Visualize yourself playing in the park with your child on a Wednesday afternoon or taking them to the zoo at ten in the morning. That picture will keep you going.
  • Do you want to help people change their lives by sharing your story? Well you have to create the story first and that requires you being successful to do that. The vision of your future that should be playing in your mind constantly is you standing on that stage, with hundreds or even thousands of people listening to you and some among that crowd making decisions to change their lives and one day meeting you to tell you that had it not been for you telling your story, they never would have taken the decision to change their lives. That picture will keep you going.
  • Maybe you want to be able to give to causes that really matter to your life. You might want to sponsor the causes with money or be able to give your time without restriction. The vision to keep before you is you writing that check and giving it to the organisation championing your cause, or you having built those buildings for housing the cause or you rendering that service at any time of day because you do not have financial or time restriction to hinder you. That picture should keep you going.

These are just a few examples. The bottom line is this; you can attend all training events and read all the training you can on how to do the activities for growing your business, unless you have a clear vision of what the outcome and impact of doing that work is supposed to be for you, you are going to lack the willpower  to get up and apply what you know. You will only be excited and active for a few days after the training event and then fizzle out.

Keep the vision ever before you and you will be unstoppable in doing the activities that will grow your business to where you want it to be for you to fulfil that vision.

Today I leave you with this quote: “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” – Jonathan Swift

Set Your Goals and Make 2014 Your Year of Transformational Success

Set Your Goals and Make 2014 Your Year of Transformational Success

Recognition jan 2014Over this last week end I was at a company training event in Harare. It was awesome. We were being trained by one of the youngest achievers in the organization. After six years of committed and consistent work he is earning a five figure monthly income and has become an international trainer worth his salt. I have worked for a whooping twenty-two years in my profession, rising to the top, and I am not even earning a third of what this young man is making. That says a lot about the J.O.B. system. In the above pic, that’s me (3rd from left) and my fellow achievers on stage being recognized for rank advancement.

Anyway, that is not the subject of our post today.

During the training, a question was asked as to how many people had made their resolutions, set their goals and made plans for achieving in 2014. The number of hands that went up for the affirmative response to that question shocked me. Less than 10% of the people in the room put up their hands. This was a business training seminar and 90% of the attendees had not set any goals to work towards.

Ladies and gentleman life, any part of your life is a journey and if you do not know where you are going with it, you will end up anywhere. Setting goals is a very essential part of the success journey. Anyone who has ever achieved anything of significance has not done it randomly. They have deliberately defined what they want and set out a plan how to achieve it.

There are two major steps to do in setting your goals. These may seem to be mundane but if you skip these two steps you might find it very difficult to achieve whatever it is that you are aiming for.

1. Write Your Goals Down

Goals StepsIf you want 2014 to be a great year for you, you need to set your goals. Not just a list of resolutions but clear goals that are measurable and time bound. The first step to making your dreams come true is to get them out of your head onto paper. Have your 2014 journal in which you will write down your specific goals. If there is no quantity to the goal then it is just a statement not a goal. If there is no get by date then it may end up being just a wish. They say goals that are written down have a 95% of happening. having them written in a journal allows you to expound and include a plan of action that you will keep track of on a daily basis. Keep them at the front of the journal so that daily as you visit your journal to update it, you look at your goals. If you have not done so already, take out pen and paper and get on with it. If the journal is yet to be bought go ahead anyway and transfer once you have it.

2. Do a Vision Book or Board

Vision BookNow I have shared this idea with some family members and they have thought that it is mambo-jumbo. Well believe it or not, it works. Having a visual representation of what you are aiming for works wonder for commitment to the plan. Without going into any of the theories that support this, let’s look at the goal setting process in brief. You start off imagining what you want (mind picture). You then move on to figuring out a plan how you will attain that. It all starts with a vision. Cutting out pictures that are a representation of that vision keep it right before your eyes on a regular basis. Last year two of the items on my vision board manifested, not because I chanted over the pictures daily but because I was reminded and motivated to stick with the plan each time I saw them.  My vision book is big and full of all the great things I want to do and have, the great places I want to visit, and the inspirational people I want to meet. It spurs me on to know that I have a great part to play in accomplishing these lofty aspirations.

To tie it all in with my last two posts on letting go of the past and forgiving those who have wronged you, I urge you to set your goals guided by these two steps. Thereafter take the necessary steps to achieve your audacious dreams based on faith.

If you know anyone who can benefit from this information, please share with them this post and help them make 2014 their best year ever.

Expect Success and You Will Get It!
